KÖLSCH

Kölsch is a crisp, clean, easy drinking ale.  It has a straw-yellow hue similar to a pilsner, but is less hoppy, a bit sweeter and uses pale malts and a small amount of wheat.  Using White Labs WLP029 will help achieve the lager-like characteristics this ale is famously known for.

DUNKELWEIZEN

Munich and Chocolate malts combine to create a darker, maltier version than its lighter counterpart, Hefeweizen.  Dunkelweizen is amber-brown in color yet medium-bodied with a slightly sweet, bready flavor.  This ale produces the characteristic phenols and ester found in traditional Weizens with the addition of a speciality wheat yeast (included).
